Implementation and Project Management
The key elements to any successful
project is defining project
expectations,
allocating resources and determining the
activities required to achieve the
desired result. Paradigm Business
Solutions (PBS) project managers’ work
with your team to clearly define project
goals. They work within time constraints
and resource limitations to keep the
project on track. Keeping your business
strategy in mind, they are task
oriented, have a strong sense of
urgency and remain focused on what needs to
be accomplished. In addition to
developing our own in-house staff of
Project Management specialists, we have
also formed strategic partnerships with
Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) and
are a certified reseller of the MBS
Solomon product suite.
Our team of certified
professionals understands that
needs differ from one organization to
another. We will work with your team to
achieve your desired "end-state" and to make those
"software solutions" a reality.
We look at your implementation as a
series of steps, each designed to help
you build and manage your project plan
before you get started. A brief outline
of our methodology includes the
following steps:
Step 1: Define
First, Paradigm will work with you to understand
your project requirements by obtaining a
thorough understanding of your business
strategy and organizational goals. We
look at your current business practices,
readiness for change, infrastructure and
reporting needs. This phase contains a
review of resources, budgetary
requirements and timelines. We also take
into consideration areas of growth and
change for your company by incorporating
flexibility into our model.
Step 2: Plan
This step requires exploration on a
more detailed level. Once Paradigm has the
scope of the project defined, we begin to
define objectives, prioritize tasks,
assign dates and resources. As a team,
Paradigm
then develops key milestones and
deliverables to measure the progress of
our project.
Step 3: Design and Document
This is where the project begins to
focus on specifics. It is in this phase
that we design and document business
transactions, processing methods and
reports. As a team we review your
existing procedures and business
routines and analyze them to pinpoint
areas of improvement and re-design.
Step 4: Test
The conference room pilot is a
critical phase that involves using the
software to ensure designs and processes
work as expected. This phase involves
testing all aspects of the software
including job processing, interfaces,
data feeds and reports. All test results
are documented, issues are reviewed and
problems are resolved before moving on
to the next phase.
Step 5: Train
Clients have many options during the
training phase of the project. Many
times we customize and teach end user
classes at your location, using your
company information and set-up. This
type of training works well by helping
the end user learn the system with
actual data and processing methods they
already know. You may opt to have us
train your key users or in-house
trainers. All training is hands-on and
delivered by our experienced
professionals. |
